medcinal rhubarb

a brief overview

At StrangeMakes.Com, we pride ourselves in making therapeutics from scratch beginning with the whole plant. During this blog post, I would like to share with you some interesting facts about one of my favorite herbs, Medicinal Rhubarb also known as Da Huang.

Medicinal Rhubarb remains at the forefront of the traditional Chinese medicine internal and external application. It’s history is rather lengthly tracing back well before 270 BC.

While there are many varieties, the rhubarb we source is harvested specifically from the northern region of China and into Tibet. Our Medicinal Rhubarb is wild harvested, specialty ordered and low pressure dried in order to maintain the significant antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-fibrotic and anticancer properties we are looking for.

Processing Medicinal Rhubarb is equally important to achieve the high quality of our Purple Grass product. In order for healing to happen efficiently, we take our time in crafting this salve through a small batch, slow and careful process. This ensures a highly concentrated, maximum extraction of herbal goodness from my home to yours.

Purple Grass and the above statements have not been evaluated by the FDA . As with any therapy, seek out the guidance of a well qualified herbalist or physician before use. Safety and effectiveness is at the forefront of everything we strive to do. We ask that you refrain from using Purple Grass while pregnant or breastfeeding.
