chinese angelica

a brief overview

At StrangeMakes.Com, we pride ourselves in making therapeutics from scratch beginning with the whole plant. During this blog post, I would like to introduce you to Chinese Angelica known as Bai Zhi in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Our ethically sourced Bai Zhi is most potent when it grows near river banks, streams, away from direct sunlight and in the rocky soils of northern Asia, namely Mongolia.

The medicinal properties of Chinese Angelica date back to a famous physician, Zhang Cong Zhen, in Ancient China around 400 BC. Modern Chinese medical applications use the root of this herb for headaches, stuffy nose, pain relief, boils, inflammation, skin diseases, swollen tissue and for treating toothaches.

Preparing this herb is equally important to achieve the high quality of our Purple Grass product. In order for healing to happen efficiently for you, we take our time in crafting this salve through a small batch, slow and careful process. This ensures a highly concentrated, maximum extraction of herbal goodness from my home to yours.

Our Purple Grass herbal salve was created to be used topically and under the direct guidance of a well qualified herbalist or physician. As with all herbal medicines the above statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. Safety, high quality and effectiveness is at the forefront of everything we strive to do. Please refrain from using Purple Grass while pregnant or breastfeeding.
